PHILOSOPHY INTRODUCTION
Hello and welcome to my Philosophy page. Over the coming months I hope to share all sorts of insights and broaden your horizons with all different types of philosophy and new, interesting perceptions or view points of the world and humanitys' place within it.
For the next few weeks I will be focusing on great philosophers such as Plato, Socrates and Aristotle. I will also be introducing you to some really abstract philosophy. What I mean by this is philosophy that holds ideas very different to the normal realms of everyday thought.
The point of this page is to open your mind and increase your tolerance and understanding of foriegn (new) ideas that perhaps in the past you simply dismissed as they challeneged your own beliefs.
My philosophy of life is centred on the notion that there is one collective consciousness or archive of human knowledge that we all have a user area within. Think of us as computers and human knowledge as the internet we simply connect to it rather than house it.
Because of this deep seated belief I try to ignore my petty ego who rejects ideas that threatens its own importance and try to be as open minded as possible and project myself to the opposing argument and truly understand their perpective. Even if this doesn't sway your own beliefs it's a very important skill to master for if an opposing view exists there must be some reason for it and some validation to it.
Due to my philosophy some articles and content on this blog will not be opinions I hold or believe but rather I will use them to demonstrate alternative and abstract ways of thinking and broaden your mind. In short I want to give you the inquisitive nature of the philosopher.
Philosophy should not be taken likely and resigned to history books. Philosophy put simply is the search for knowledge and is heavily dependant on logic and reasoning skills. Most of all Philosophy can be fun, how? It can be fun being able to entertain thoughts and even deabate sides of the argument that you don't personally believe in and can provide great fulfillment in the new found tolerance you have for new ideas. All in all life is more fun when you are open to it!!
